Long before there were cell phones or the internet and certainly long before there was Facebook people still kept in touch with their family and friends. We did not suffer the intrusiveness of modern telecommunications, nor did we feel the need to verbalize our every emotional belch but we did want to let people know where we were, what we were doing and most of all that we were thinking fondly of them. I am privileged to have a collection of these communications and to know a little bit about the people and places involved and would like to share them with family and friends. So lean back, relax and enjoy some instant messages from a century ago. You may want to comment but you don’t have to text.
